Equipment

  • 1 Medium-sized pot
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Ladle optional
  • 1 Strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 liter water
  • 2 bananas sliced
  • 2 sticks cinnamon

Instructions

Boil Water and Cinnamon

  • Pour 1 liter of water into a medium-sized pot and add the 2 cinnamon sticks.
  • Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add Bananas

  • While the water is heating up, slice the bananas into rounds.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the banana slices to the pot.

Simmer

  • Reduce the heat to medium and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. This will allow the bananas and cinnamon to infuse into the water

Cool

  • After 10 minutes, remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool to a drinkable temperature.

Strain and Serve

  • You can strain the mixture using a strainer to remove the banana pieces and cinnamon sticks or serve it as is with the solids.
  • Pour the tea into cups and serve warm, preferably an hour before bedtime.

Notes

  • For added sweetness, you can add a teaspoon of honey or a pinch of stevia.
  • If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor, you can add an extra cinnamon stick.
  • This drink can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat before serving.
  • Feel free to experiment by adding a dash of nutmeg or a splash of vanilla extract for different flavor profiles.
